Dubrow Physical Therapy

Karen Dubrow was the first to receive the Doctorate of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy from the Ola Grimsby Institute. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Washington University, St. Louis. She then began her clinical work at the same time pursuing and achieving a Master of Science degree from the Graduate School of Texas Woman’s University, School of Physical Therapy. Dr. Dubrow continued with postgraduate work in Manual Therapy, receiving her Equivalency of a Nordic Manual Therapy Certification by the Nordic Group of Specialists in Manual Therapy. She continued her studies with the Ola Grimsby Institute, completing her Part II Manual Therapy Certification, her Master’s degree in Orthopedic Manual Therapy, culminating in her Doctorate of Manual Therapy. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. She has owned her practice in Plano, Texas since 1990. She treats patients full-time in Plano, Texas, and mentors doctoral candidates for dissertation completion for the Ola Grimsby Institute on a part-time basis.

Karen has lived in Plano 9 years, since marriage. She is a native Dallasite and has lived in the metroplex her entire life with the exception of college. She actively participates in local civics, currently sitting on the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee of Plano. Additionally, she is teaching back safety classes to employees of various departments of the City of Plano.

Karen is a martial artist who now studies American Kenpo. She has studied the martial arts for 19 years.

A dog lover since childhood, Karen has two dogs she adopted. Sierra was adopted from the Richardson Animal Shelter. Boxer was adopted from Operation Kindness. Karen is also a member of the Delta Society for Pet Partners.
